Our Story
In 2019, God brought Maria into my life. From the moment we met, I was deeply moved by her devotion to the Lord Jesus Christ and her compassion for those in her community. Maria had spent many years serving others through her work as a public-school teacher, as well as her roles as a mother and grandmother. Over the course of several months, it became evident that our meeting was divinely orchestrated. On August 1, 2019, we were married and together began a new chapter of ministry in a small village near La Ceiba.

He has done great things!
Our Ministry
During my time in Honduras, I've strived to listen to the voice of the Lord and obey His promptings. God gave me the name, A New Kind of Dad ministries when I came to Honduras nearly 13 years ago. My initial goal was to help men grow into followers of Jesus. However, most men were not receptive. God led me to focus on reaching children and teaching them how to become parents who honor Him.
God blessed my effort in Copan Ruinas and then moved me to a small village, El Naranjo, near La Ceiba. We built a ministry center and became involved in our community. God directed us to do many different things, but our emphasis was reaching children. Then, we changed the day and time of our children's outreach. EVERYTHING CHANGED!
The first Friday night some parents came. Soon, we had more adults than children. Though, we had no desire to start a church, God did. Each week, more people from the community came. We were reaching our lost and unchurches neighbors. We were reaching men and they were getting saved and baptized.
As you know, I am a grandpa and statically, I probably won't be around many more years. Maria is very capable in ministry. She was a missionary long before she met me. One things, she agrees with me about is the need for strong male leadership. We prayed and God sent a young seminary student to become our teaching pastor. Pastor Ronald and his family are a gift from God.
